The arrowroot balsam is my favourite spring flower in the Okanagan. I just love the explosions of yellow on the hillsides. I have captured other spring flowers too, but I haven't managed to identify them yet. These delightful specimens were on the top of Rattlesnake Mountain, in Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park. I used my Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 set at f13 and 11mm to bring flowers and background into focus. Shutter speed on the D7000 was 1/80 second.
