I was experimenting with camera settings while sitting in front of the TV. "The National" with Peter Mansbridge was on. I aimed the camera, set for multiple exposures, at the screen. When I reviewed the first image I realised I had actually captured two images - probably because the moment I released the shutter, one segment of the video had merged into another. Purely by chance, the new frame was a black and white image, complete with old TV outline, that seemed to give the image context. When I reviewed this first image I could not believe my luck and abandoned all ideas of further exposures!
