I always enjoy my visits to the South Okanagan where the scenery is quite different compared with the north. The south is more rugged, warmer and dry, with a tighter and more intimate feel. It's about as close to real desert that can be found in Canada.

Oliver is my favourite small town probably because it still has an authentic, work-a-day feel which sets it apart from Osoyoos on the border to the south.
